getaload · Self-host your downloader

  • getaload web panel: add a link, magnet or torrent, with finished downloads below
  • getaload media player streaming a video from the server, with buffer and source stats
  • getaload on a narrow screen: settings list with bottom navigation

Ubuntu Touch for the Galaxy A50

A community port of Ubuntu Touch 26.04 to the Samsung Galaxy A50. Underneath is a Halium device base, the layer that lets Linux use the phone's Android drivers. It builds the kernel and boot image reproducibly from a pinned commit and toolchain, and stays distro-agnostic so both Ubuntu Touch and Droidian build on it.

  • System information on the Galaxy A50 (SM-A505F) showing Ubuntu Touch 26.04; device identifiers hidden
  • Ubuntu Touch home screen on the Galaxy A50 with the app launcher open
  • Ubuntu Touch updates screen downloading an app update on the Galaxy A50

splitread

A KOReader plugin for language learners. It splits the e-reader screen in two: the original book on top and a live translation of the visible page below, updating as you turn pages.

  • splitread on an e-reader: French book text on top, live English translation below
  • splitread settings: source and target language, auto-translate, provider, font and panel size

Opportunity Intelligence

A reproducible platform for training and serving very small specialist models that summarise and classify opportunity postings such as scholarships and fellowships. Polite data collectors, versioned datasets, and one report per training run.

Aroha

A wellness and cycle-tracking app design: a daily check-in for mood and journal entries, a streak counter, and symptom tracking. It includes a German-language health check-in (water intake, mood, swelling) that ends with booking an appointment.

(02) How I use AI

AI does most of the typing. I own the outcome.

  1. I set the direction

I write the scope, decide what gets built and what matters, and steer every session. AI writes most of the code inside that plan.

  2. I test on the real thing

Builds run on real phones, servers and e-readers, backed by tests and CI. When something breaks, I bring back the logs until it's fixed.

  3. The fundamentals came first

I shipped production apps and backends before AI coding tools existed. That's why I can tell when AI output is wrong.
